All of my knives are hand made from start to finish and only made in small batches in order to keep quality as high as possible.
Each blade is hand forged using a traditional coal fire and hammered by hand over the anvil, after this they are heat treated for durability and efficiency.
Once the blade is forged I will look over the selection of woods and other materials and pick out what I feel goes with the shape and feel of the blade as well as what its intended use is.
All handle products are ethically sourced. All steel is UK made.
Cimbrer Seax
After being a fan of Cimbrer bushcraft for many years I was delighted to see that Tom was looking for a knife maker for his seax design. After a discussion with him about what he wanted and going over the designs I made a couple of prototypes and got him to approve them before we offered them up for sale here.
The blades are forged from 80crv2 steel and feature a full tang construction, the oak handle is shaped by hand and then attached with brass pins. Each knife comes with a leather sheath made specifically for that knife and they are all hand cut and stitched.
Each one is hand forged and finished all by hand using British materials. The oak comes from the Kent and Surrey border whilst the leather for the sheaths comes from the Midlands, all steel is also rolled in the UK.
Handmade
Each one is individually hand forged
Forge to finish
Everything but the final bevels are hand forged into place
