A traditional style candle holder for miners, Candle holders like these were used back in the 18th century and during or shortly after the 1849 California Gold Rush. They feature a long spike for pushing into a timber or rock crevice, a hook to hang it or slot through a cap (not recommended!) and a large loop for holding and allowing it to sit on a shelf.
