I have a love for anything hand made, I also have a great respect for other crafts, it is because of this that I knew I wanted to do more than just metalwork. Don't get me wrong, smithing is so deep in my heart as to keep it burning forever but other materials work in different ways and have a great joy of their own, because of my work making hand tools I quickly gained a great appreciation for woodwork so I have started making and selling my own, from mallets to cutting boards, rolling pins and mugs everything is made lovingly, with care and more often than not at the lathe.
It all started with a gift for my wonderful mother, after that I began to understand what makes up a good chopping board. As my kitchen knives improved it was clear they would need something to help them perform their task in the kitchen.
Each design is carefully thought out and tested to make sure the pattern is as sleek and eye catching as can be whilst still maintaining the elegance to match the knife sets.

A good drinking vessel is worth its weight in the beverage of your choice.

Whilst they all follow a pattern each one is unique and makes a fine addition to any camp or home.
All good vessels need a good place to sit, these coasters are made in the same way as the chopping boards just on the small scale.

Being a craftsperson I find the need for good tools a must, when doing my leather work I always reach for a good sturdy mallet for driving down my punches or when I need to stamp my tooling.
Whilst many cheap rubber ones exist they don't have the balance for precise work and the tactile nature of wood makes each one of these hand made mallets a joy to use.
Large Mallet
£40.00
These hand turned mallets make any job a joy to do, be it leatherwork, carpentry, upholstery or a whole host of other hard work.
The beech head delivers strong blows and takes a lot of abuse whilst the ash handle is comfortable in the hand and absorbs the shock of each blow.
